The Library is available six-days-a-week at all locations so there is always a place to read, study or work on a business report or assignment!  Not only that, the library has a wide selection of books, entertainment videos, and evening programs for your entertainment.  The City of Commerce Public Library is one of five highest-funded (per capita) library systems in California so you know you will also get great service..

Specialized Research with Professional Librarians

  • Scanning and photocopy service (10 cents copy and 5 cents scanning)

Reference USA database 

  • High-performance classified directory with corporate financial and relationship data (each company's page gives location, directors, financial statistics, legal actions, geographic location for GIS and Google Maps, photograph, of front of building when available, and all lines of business)
  • Links between subsidiary and parent organizations (a local chain restaurant will give a manager's name, basic location name, and then refer the user to the corporate headquarters)
  • SIC and NAICS codes tor precise searches and company profiles (SIC and NAICS are industry-standard codes for defining business lines)

Literacy and Tutorial Services

  • The READS Center offers reading and writing to children ages 7-12 and English-speaking adults 16 and over.
  • Courses in English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • At different times of the year, ESL classes are available for those who know little -or no English and for those who know some English and would like to converse more easily.

Computer Skills Classes
