PATH is ending homelessness for individuals, families and communities

 

The Los Angeles County Housing Resource Center website strives to bring new information and tools for assisting homeless veterans and their families find affordable housing throughout Los Angeles County

 

It is the mission of Military Women In Need to empower female veterans and survivors of veterans (widows) to live their lives with independence and dignity. Through housing assistance, emergency subsidies, resource and referral services, and home visits, Military Women In Need serves those who sacrificed for our freedom.

 

The Hook Up Resource Center is an non-profit agency dedicated to serving the needs of American Veterans, and the members of the community, Located in Montebello and serving surrounding city sisters. We are committed to ending Veteran's homelessness.

 

There are several food pantries and food banks in the California. With help from users like you we have compiled a list of some. If you know of a listing that is not included here please submit new food pantries to our database.

 

The CalFresh Program helps to improve the health and well-being of qualified households and individuals by providing them a means to meet their nutritional needs.

 

Homeownership/Permanent Housing:

 

 

Through resilient outreach, state-wide collaboratives, strong partnerships, advocacy, and services for all California veterans, CalVet has established an aggressive and proactive leadership role in the fight to make sure that all veterans and their families have housing options that fulfill their needs.

 

In 2011, Habitat LA established Habitat for Heroes, an outreach initiative seeking to engage veterans, military members and their families in Habitat for Humanity’s mission.  Since then, more than 4000 veterans have volunteered and nearly 100 have benefited from housing services.  Habitat LA is committed to providing more opportunities for veterans and military members and encourages everyone to get involved with Habitat for Heroes.

 

A nonprofit community development organization with a mission to increase vitality and stability of communities across the nation by promoting successful home ownership through education and counseling, the creation of innovative affordable housing opportunities, and providing resources to local nonprofit counseling agencies.

 

VA helps Service members, Veterans, and eligible surviving spouses become homeowners.
