One-on-One Tutoring

This program is designed for students in grades 3 – 12 who have been diagnosed with a learning disability. Children meet with a special education teacher to help improve reading and writing skills.

Requirements for the One-on-One Tutoring Program:

  • Students must have a current Individualized Educational Program (IEP)
  • Be two grade levels below their current grade in the area of Language Arts. The focus of the tutoring will be to improve the student's reading and writing skills
  • The student must have been identified with a Specific Learning Disability (SLD)
  • Regular attendance is mandatory.
  • Must complete Parent Contract.

The One-on-One Tutoring Program is a remedial service. Although the program tries to help all students who meet the requirements, the tutoring is at the discretion of the Special Reading Coordinator.
