Teen Programs & Services

The library has an extensive collection of young adult materials which includes books, magazines, CDs and DVDs.  Teen services include cultural and educational events and outings specifically designed for teens, which are held throughout the year.

Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

A group of teens that recommends books for the library to purchase and suggests ways to improve library services to teens.

Online Homework Help

Did you miss our local homework helper? Do you have a late night assignment?  Try our online homework help subscription with Tutor.com.  Receive free homework help in Math, English, Science and Social studies over the Internet, seven days a week from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m  You can also get help with essays and resumes. Teen Tech Week

A week-long celebration during the month of March featuring computer and technology events.

SAT Workshops

The library sponsors a free SAT practice test in the month of September.

Teen Read Week

An annual event, which is held the third week in October, with teen reading events and programs.

National Library Week

The library celebrates National Library Week each year in April with a special children’s program and community guest readers at library storytimes.

College Prep Academy

Workshops, college field trips, and other activities to prepare students for college.

Back to School Family Night

Begin the school year with a fun-filled evening during the first week of school at the Greenwood Branch in collaboration with the Greenwood Community Church.

Essay Contest

During the month of March, middle school and high school students are encouraged to participate in an essay contest.
