Summer Reading Program: A Universe of Stories

June 17-July 27

Children who read over the summer not only retain their reading skills, but also improve them. The library’s reading program is a fun way to support your child’s reading and learning. Children of all ages are welcome to join and earn free prizes for reading and other fun activities over the summer. Parents may read to pre-readers to earn prizes. Register at any Commerce library and pick up your summer reading log!
  • Tiny Tots Program: Babies & Toddlers, ages 0 – 3 years

Parents or caregivers read, sing, talk, and play with babies and toddlers to earn small prizes. Completion prize is a free book to take home.

The Children's Services section provides a variety of children's materials, storytimes, and existing library events throughout the year to promote a lifelong love of reading and learning.  books and materials are available in English and Spanish to encourage family reading.
