Free Tax Preparation

The VITA Grant program is an IRS initiative designed to support FREE tax preparation services for the underserved. This service helps low- to moderate-income individuals, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English speakers file their taxes each year. Tax preparation services will be conducted in Spanish and English. Appointments are required, and space is limited. Book now using the links below.

What should I bring to my appointment? 

Gather your documents before your appointment. Here is a standard list required for filers:

1. Personal Information:
   • Photo Identification: Valid driver’s license or photo ID for you and your spouse.
   • Taxpayer Identification Numbers: Social Security cards or ITIN letters for everyone on the tax return (you, your spouse, and all dependents).
   • Bank Information: Routing and account numbers for direct deposit of your refund.
2. Income Documentation:
   • W-2 Forms: Wage and Tax Statements from all employers.
   • 1099 Forms: These report other types of income, such as:
   • 1099-INT/DIV: Interest and dividends.
   • 1099-NEC/MISC: Self-employment or miscellaneous income.
   • 1099-R: Distributions from pensions, annuities, or retirement plans.
   • 1099-G: Unemployment compensation or state tax refunds.
   • SSA-1099: Social Security benefits.
3. Health Care & Expenses:
   • Form 1095-A: Required if you had coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
   • Form 1098: Mortgage interest statements.
   • Child Care Records: Total paid to day care providers and the provider’s tax ID number.
